Exhibits (Manila): 'Anong Papel Mo' at Art Cube Gallery

In the Philippines, the word "papel" translates into either paper or role. So in putting together the exhibit "Anong Papel Mo..." is perhaps asking what role do you play? Will you be remembered for your intellect (or lack thereof)? For your clothes? As a caricature? Will you be remembered for your role as a person of power? Will you be remembered at all?

Or taking it lightly, it may simply be asking about the type of paper the artists prefers when the desire to create and bring forth an idea into something visible arrives.

Either way, the questions are all equally as important.

Grupong Papelismo consists of Jess Abrera, Elmer Borlongan, Benjie Torrado-Cabrera, Thomas Daquioag, Antipes Delotavo, Neil Doloricon, Egai Talusan-Fernandez, Renato Habulan, Pablo Baen-Santos, and Pinggot Zulueta.

The exhibit is on display at Art Cube Gallery, 3/F Glorietta 4 in Makati City. It will run until May 18, 2015.
