#HappyTobyToYou by Gary Baseman at Hong Kong Times Square

HONG KONG - HAPPY TOBY TO YOU! by Gary Baseman celebrates 10 years of Toby, the artist's iconic character that represents curiosity, playfulness, and wit.
For over a decade as the keeper of secrets and a best friend to all, Toby has mirrored the human experience through art in multiple media. Showcasing works from the first exhibition of paintings, photographs, and videos of Toby's world travels, and a new sculptural birthday party installation, this experimental exhibition aims to spread wonder and happiness to all visitors.

Gary Baseman blurs the lines of fine art and popular culture, moving between his roles as a painter, illustrator, toy designer, photographer, animator, TV/movie producer, and performance artist.

Known for his raw style and humor exploring the "beauty and bittersweetness of life," Baseman's art has been featured in an international fashion brand's ready-to-wear collection, major international publications like Rolling Stone and the New Yorker, and the best-selliung board game Cranium.

Baseman also created the Emmy and BAFTA award-winning ABC/Disney series "Teacher's Pet."

His fine art has been displayed in galleries and museums all over the world, including a retrospective that started in Los Angeles in 2013 and traveled to Taipei and Shanghai.
